The star of "Crazy Wedding" confessed who was originally supposed to play his role in the movie: a very famous actor

The main character in the movie "Crazy Wedding" could have been played by someone other than Nazar Zadniprovskyi. The producers insisted on a different actor, Vasyl Serediuk, a well-known film actor.

According to Nazar Zadniprovskyi, "They wanted an actor who was popular in movies," so they invited Viacheslav Dovzhenko, who was already very popular for his movie "Cyborgs," to the audition. Zadniprovskyi spoke about this in an interview with OBOZ.UA.

"There was a casting call," the actor recalls. "Some of the producers wanted another actor who was insanely popular at the time. I found out about it only a few years later when I saw the audition. It was Slava Dovzhenko, who had already played in "Cyborgs" at that time. But thanks to Yurii Horbunov, I got the role of Vasyl Serediuk. He was the one who stood up for me. And for the second season, the producers were in favor of me - no contradictions."

Actor Zadniprovskyi says he understands perfectly well why his candidacy was not initially treated so favorably: "They were risking their money, so it's understandable that they wanted an actor who was popular in movies. Despite the fact that he's not as comedic as me, they were guided by the principle that a poster needs a name."
