Not much time has passed since the presentation of the new iPhone 16, and users are already complaining about problems and malfunctions. Owners of the latest models emphasize an unpleasant feature of the new smartphone – Camera Control.

So, the main innovation of the iPhone 16 did not quite meet expectations. Experts told us why users are sounding the alarm.

Camera Control is a very fragile key, so after a month of use, it can start to fall to the side.

Reddit users share photos of iPhone 16 after the gadget accidentally fell on a hard surface. The Camera Control button broke, but the good news is that the metal case remained completely intact.

For example, the famous Chinese blogger Han Lu posted his opinion on the Camera Control button in the new iPhones on Weibo.

"It's the most ridiculous and difficult iPhone innovation in history, with all kinds of accidental presses," the blogger wrote.

Camera Control was made of tempered sapphire crystal. It is also used in Apple Watch smartwatches. That is, this type of glass is hard enough to scratch, but it breaks easily.

Cases, users say, do not insure against such damage. Most cases from unofficial manufacturers have a regular cutout where the Camera Control should be, which leaves the key unprotected. Only bulky cases with a thick frame, such as those produced by UAG, will do.

After damage, Camera Control usually retains its functionality, i.e., it reads presses, and touches even with cracked glass. However, it is worth emphasizing that water can get into the cracks and penetrate to other components.
