Russia complains of a drone attack on Michurinsky oil refinery in Tambov: the facility caught fire
On the night of October 27, dozens of kamikaze drones attacked various regions in Russia. As a result, a fire broke out near the Michurinsky oil refinery in the Tambov region.
A total of 11 drones were spotted in the region. The governor of the Tambov region, Maksim Yegorov, announced this on Telegram.
The official complained that the attack on the Michurinsky District occurred around 00:40. He also claims that the "light explosion" caused a "small fire", which was promptly extinguished by the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
According to the governor, there were no casualties. At the same time, the official did not mention the damage to the infrastructure.
Residents of the Tambov region stated that the fire occurred at the Transneft-Druzhba dispatch station in the village of Novonikol'skoe. The Michurinsky oil refinery is located right in this area.
In turn, the Russian Defense Ministry announced the "interception" of 51 "Ukrainian" unmanned aerial vehicles. According to the legend of the Russian terrorist agency, 18 drones were intercepted over the territory of Tambov region and 16 over the Belgorod region, four UAVs were destroyed over the territories of Bryansk, Lipetsk and Orel regions, and three other over the territory of Voronezh region.
As a reminder, a powerful explosion occurred at an oil refinery in Ryazan on the evening of October 26. Before that, an air raid alert was announced in the city.
As reported, on the night of October 23, Ukrainian soldiers attacked the Novoshakhtinsk oil refinery in Russian Rostov region for the second time in a week. At least four drones targeted the enterprise, all of which, according to local authorities, were "shot down".
Earlier, Ukraine's Defense Minister Rustem Umerov said that Ukrainian-made drones had hit more than 200 military facilities throughout Russia. He also noted that Ukraine has already invested more than $4 billion in the defense industry.
