The Ukrainian Armed Forces' operation in the Kursk region continues

The Russian army will not be able to liberate the Kursk region of the Russian Federation in the "near future" - by the end of October, as ordered by its command. Over the past 24 hours, there have been no tangible changes in the advance of either Russian or Ukrainian forces.

This is stated in the report of the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) for September 25. According to the report, the Ukrainian Armed Forces continued offensive operations in the Hlushkiv area, while the Russians allegedly repelled their attacks south and southwest of Hlushkiv near Novyi Shlyakh and Vesele.

"Ukrainian forces continued offensive operations on the edges of the Ukrainian advance in the Kursk region, but made no confirmed advances," the analysts wrote.

Russian sources claimed that fighting continued in the area of Chervonozhovtneve (southwest of Koreneve); near Lyubymivka, Daryino and Mykolaivo-Daryino (southeast of Koreneve); near Olgivka (east of Koreneve) and near Plekhove (southeast of Sudzha).

"Russian troops continued counterattacks along the Ukrainian line in the Kursk region on September 25, but also made no confirmed advances," the ISW report said.

It noted that the day before, the Russian dictator's aide Alexei Dyumin had publicly expressed doubts that the Russian Armed Forces would "completely liberate" the entire Kursk region in the "near future" in accordance with the Russian General Staff's plan.

Ukrainian military observer Kostyantyn Mashovets reported that today, along with other Russian units, units of the 6th Army of the Russian Air Force and Air Defense, including its 105th Mixed Aviation Division, 899th Assault Aviation Regiment, 15th Army Aviation Brigade, 332nd and 440th separate helicopter regiments, are operating in the Kursk region. Elements of the 2nd and 32nd Air Defense Divisions were also spotted there. And propagandists admitted that Russian border guards are also operating in the area.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, military expert Ihor Levchenko said that the information disseminated by the Western media about the number of Russian troops in the Kursk region may reflect a certain reality, but it is difficult to confirm the accuracy of these data. He emphasized that Ukrainian actions in the Kursk region are also aimed at forcing the Russian command to redeploy troops from other fronts, and this is dispersing their resources.
