How to cook healthy buckwheat in an unusual way: the taste will surprise everyone
Buckwheat is a very valuable and tasty product that can be boiled, or simply steamed with boiling water and cooked with kefir. It can also be used to make buckwheat pancakes, soup, porridge, salads, and bowls.
The chef shared a recipe for delicious buckwheat with sauerkraut, fried mushrooms, and spices on Instagram.
Ingredients:
- Oil – 2-3 tbsp.
- Half of a small onion
- Mushrooms – 250 g (100 g for buckwheat and 150 for serving)
- Sauerkraut – 100 g
- Buckwheat – 100 g
- Broth or boiling water – 400 g
- Cream – 200 g
- Garlic – half a head
Method of preparation:
1. Finely chop the onion. Fry the onion in vegetable oil in a saucepan until softened, add 100 g of chopped mushrooms and sauerkraut, and simmer over medium heat to evaporate the excess liquid.
2. Add the washed buckwheat, pour the broth, and evaporate the liquid over medium heat.
3. Pour in the cream, add the chopped garlic, and bring to the desired consistency. Add salt and pepper.
4. Fry the rest of the mushrooms in a pan, and sprinkle with your favorite spices.
