Khrystyna Dmytrenko demonstrated excellent results
Khrystyna Dmytrenko, who finished 8th in the individual race at the Biathlon World Championships, set a season record for the Ukrainian national team in the individual race. Prior to that, Artem Pryma's 9th place in the individual race at the World Cup in Antholc was the highest achievement of the Blue and Yellows.
Dmytrenko's 8th place also became a career record for her at the World Cup and World Championships. Khrystyna became the first Ukrainian biathlete in three years to qualify for the World Cup mass start. It is worth noting that this is the 24-year-old native of Chernihiv's debut at the World Cup.
According to unofficial data, Khrystyna Dmytrenko has already earned 9400 euros in prize money at this World Championships. This is more than all the other biathletes of the Ukrainian national team combined.
Commenting on her success, Dmytrenko could hardly contain her emotions.

Mykola Zots, the head coach of the Ukrainian national team, is also satisfied with the result.
"For the first time I can say that we have a biathlete. It's the first time I've said this, although she has been around before. I can say today that we are building a new team for the new Olympic cycle. This is a biathlete of a completely different formation, thinking, and approach. I can say that today," Zots said in an interview with Suspilne.
