American second-hand cars in Ukraine are popular again: what cars are bought

Imports of cheap second-hand cars from the United States to Ukraine are reviving. Such cars are very popular again - demand has increased. Experts have named the most popular American used cars.

Traditionally, our motorists prefer inexpensive cars. Used models from the US are much more affordable. According to Ukravtoprom, the demand for such cars has increased by 75% compared to 2023.

In July 2024, Ukrainians imported 4.1 thousand used cars from the United States. This number is reflected in 21% of the total used car market. 44% are equipped with gasoline engines (without electric motors, i.e. hybrids separately - 7%). Only 6% of diesel cars were imported. And the number of electric cars is 37%.

The most popular used cars from the USA in Ukraine:

1. Tesla Model 3 - 418 pcs;
2. Tesla Model Y - 401 units;
3. Ford Escape - 280 units;
4. Volkswagen Passat - 248 pcs;
5. Jeep Cherokee - 245 units.

Tesla is traditionally responsible for the popularity of American electric vehicles. Its models have become the most popular both in their segment and in the absolute statistics of American imports.
