With this life hack, you'll clean the dirt in your oven effortlessly

Cleaning burnt-on grease in the oven may seem like a daunting task that requires quite aggressive chemicals. However, in fact, it can be effectively done with the help of improvised products that are safe and easy to use.

Thus, cleaning experts advise to rely on the power of vinegar and use it in combination with water steam to achieve the best results. OBOZ.UA tells you exactly how to do it right.

In the process of cleaning, water vapor will help soften even the most stubborn stains, and acetic acid will destroy baked-on fat in particular. Just have a pot or bowl, a bottle of white vinegar, a spray bottle, and a microfiber sponge or cloth ready.

How to clean the oven with vinegar and steam

Start by removing anything that can be cleaned mechanically from the oven – crumbs, dirt, etc. Take out all the removable elements – they are best cleaned separately. Next, take an oven-safe bowl or pot and mix a glass of vinegar and water in it. Put the vessel inside and heat the appliance to 180 degrees. The mixture will begin to evaporate and break down the dirt inside the oven. After about 30 minutes, remove the pan and wait for the appliance to cool to a safe temperature. It will not cool completely.

To clean the oven, use the same mixture of water and vinegar in equal proportions to make a spray in a spray bottle. Spray it on the inside of the appliance and clean it with a sponge or microfiber cloth. Do not scrub the surfaces with hard brushes or sponges to avoid scratching them.

How to remove stubborn stains

While the vinegar and steam trick works wonders, some stains can be more stubborn. To clean these stubborn spots, you'll need baking soda. Use it after steam cleaning the oven. Apply a generous portion of baking soda to each stain and sprinkle it with the previously prepared vinegar solution. Leave the product on for 15-20 minutes, then rub the stain well and rinse off the residue. Baking soda is a mild enough abrasive not to damage the interior surfaces of the oven.
