Braised cabbage is a very tasty and simple dish that can be the perfect accompaniment to mashed potatoes, porridges, meat and even pasta. It can be prepared in different ways: with and without meat, mushrooms, rice, add apples and even prunes.

Foodblogger Lilia with the nickname lileklilek2 on her Instagram page shared a recipe for braised cabbage with sausages, which can be added directly to the stew or when serving.

Ingredients:

  • cabbage
  • onions
  • carrot
  • mushrooms (optional)
  • tomato juice
  • salt, pepper, bay leaves
  • sausages

Method of preparation:

1. Chop the onion, grate the carrot. Fry all until soft and golden. If desired, add mushrooms.
