On the night of March 12-13, the long-awaited 95th Academy Awards ceremony was held in Los Angeles, which is often a platform for spreading important messages to the world community. But the American Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences decided to completely ignore the topic of the murderous and destructive war in Ukraine this year and even prohibited the President Vladimir Zelenski from making his speech. The only ones who reminded about our country at the event were filmmakers from Poland.
Thus, actor Mateusz Kościukiewicz and cameraman-director Michal Dymek, who represented the Polish feature film "EO," directed by Jerzy Skolimowski, appeared before the paparazzi with blue-and-yellow ribbons. OBOZREVATEL gathered a few pictures.

Moreover, this year the American Academy of Motion Picture Arts not only completely ignored the war in Ukraine, but also gave the Best Feature Documentary nomination to Canadian documentary filmmaker Daniel Royer's Navalny. Alexei Navalny's wife, Yulia, and their children went on stage with the director to collect the golden statuette. She was given the opportunity to address the world public on such a prestigious stage with a cynical speech about the "good Russians" who are "fighting for democracy".
Note that the Polish film "EO" is about a gray donkey with melancholy eyes, who meets good and bad people on his way of life, experiences joy and pain, goes through the wheel of fortune, accidentally turning good fortune into disaster and despair into unexpected bliss. But not for a moment does he lose his innocence.
