Tastier than the classic: grated apple pie for tea
The simplest, most budget-friendly, and delicious pie is grated. You can make them with different fillings; they will be delicious with berries, apples, nuts, and even chocolate.
The cook shared a recipe for a delicious apple pie on Instagram, which turned out to be very tender.
Ingredients:
Filling:
- apples – 5 medium
- sugar – 100 g
- zest of 1 lemon
- juice of 1 lemon
- cinnamon – 1 tsp.
- butter – 30 g
The dough:
- butter – 110 g
- sugar – 50 g
- flour – 220 g
- water – 5 tbsp.
For the crumble:
- flour – 80 g
- butter – 50 g
- sugar – 50 g
Method of preparation:
1. Filling: Peel and dice the apples. Put in a frying pan, add the remaining ingredients, and simmer over medium heat until almost all the liquid has evaporated. Then cool the filling to room temperature.
2. Dough: cut the cold butter into pieces, add the flour and sugar, and mix well with your hands. Knead until the crumbs are moist. Then add water and knead the elastic dough. Cover the bottom of the mold with parchment, form the dough into a base with sides, and put it in the freezer for 10-15 minutes.
3. Crumble: the analogy is the same as with dough, but do not add water.
5. Remove the pie crust, add the filling, sprinkle the crumble on top, and bake.
