Lazy sushi rolls in 5 minutes: how to make

You can make a budget-friendly alternative to sushi rolls even at home. It will take you only 5 minutes. The taste is indistinguishable from the original, and the technology is much simpler because nothing needs to be rolled as you can simply lay everything in layers.

The idea of making homemade lazy sushi rolls in 5 minutes was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Valeria (yummy.lera).

Ingredients:

  • 100 g of sushi rice
  • 110 ml of water
  • 100 g of lightly salted salmon
  • 100 g of cream cheese
  • 1 sheet of nori
  • 100 g of cucumber
  • sesame seeds for serving

Ingredients for the dressing:

  • 15 ml of apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp sugar + 1/2 tsp salt

Method of preparation:

1. Rinse rice thoroughly several times until it is clear.

2. Pour clean water over it and bring to a boil.

3. Set the heat to low and cook for 15 minutes without removing the lid.

4. Then turn off the heat and let the rice stand for another 15 minutes under the lid.

5. Add the dressing and stir.

6. Cut nori, add to rice and mix again.

7. Dice salmon, cucumber, and avocado.

8. Cover an ice cube tray with cling film/plastic bag and lay out salmon, cream cheese, cucumber, and nori rice in layers.

9. It is very important to tamp each layer well.

10. Serve immediately or store in the refrigerator for several days.
