If you are tired of pizza: budget fish pie with ready-made dough for a snack
If you're tired of hot sandwiches and pizza, a pie is the perfect option for a hearty and quick snack. For the base, you can use ready-made puff pastry, which you can simply buy.
The cook shared a recipe for a delicious pie with sardines, boiled eggs, and green onions on Instagram.
Ingredients:
- 350 g of puff pastry
- 3 boiled eggs
- 1 can of sardines in oil
- green onions
- salt, pepper - to taste
- egg yolk + 1 tbsp water/milk (for lubrication)
How to cook:
1. For the filling, drain oil from sardines and mash them with a fork. Finely chop green onions. Mix all the ingredients, add salt and black pepper, and mix again.
2. Defrost puff pastry and roll it out slightly. Put the filling inside the rectangle. Use a spoon to shape the fish.
3. Make cuts on both sides of the dough and form a pie. Cover the filling with strips on both sides, alternating the direction. Form a tail.
4. Brush the top of the pie with egg yolk mixed with 1 tbsp of water or milk and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
5. Bake the cake at 180 C until cooked for about 30-35 minutes.
