How much to bake and what to marinate meat in to make it juicy, soft and flavorful: recipe and tips
Baked meat is an ideal option for a delicious holiday dish and an everyday meal. You can cook it in different ways: with vegetables, spices, herbs, and sauces, but the most important thing is to marinate it well before baking.
Cook Maria shared on Instagram a recipe for juicy baked meat in a glaze that turns out to be very soft and flavorful.
Ingredients:
- Meat (pork neck can be used, it is better to take it so that the meat is not dry) - 2 kg
Marinade:
- Salt - 1 tsp.
- Black pepper - to taste
- Mustard - 1 tbsp. l
- Smoked paprika - 1 tsp.
- Soy sauce - 1 tbsp. l
- Garlic - 5-8 cloves.
- Water - 200 ml
Glaze:
- Ketchup - 1 tbsp. l.
- Honey - 1 tsp.
- Soy sauce - 1 tbsp. l.
Method of preparation:
1. Mix mustard, paprika, soy sauce, salt and pepper in a bowl.
2. Clean the meat from all excess, make punctures in it with a knife. Cut the garlic into halves and stuff the meat, then rub with the marinade, wrap in plastic wrap and leave to marinate for 3-4 hours.
3. Put the meat on a baking sheet, pour water over it and cover with foil.
4. Bake at 200 degrees for 3 hours.
5. Glaze: add honey and soy sauce to the ketchup and mix. Remove the meat from the oven, brush with the glaze and bake for another 30 minutes.
Cooked meat is best served hot with fresh vegetables.
