"You are either happy or successful." Olia Tsybulska tells why she wanted to leave her husband, whom she had been dating since high school

Ukrainian singer Olia Tsybulska has admitted that she wanted to leave her husband, Serhii Hrysiuk, with whom she started building a relationship at school, several times. The 38-year-old artist explained that her colleagues had repeatedly tried to convince her that family life and show business were incompatible.

The celebrity spoke about this in the MuzzRoom project. According to the performer, over time, she stopped listening to such advice and began to build her life on her own.

"Do you know how many times I packed my bags because my star colleagues told me: "Girl, show business and family happiness are incompatible. You have to choose: either you are happy or you are successful. Look, no one can do it," the singer said.

Olia Tsybulska noted that she can call herself a woman who always chooses herself. The artist herself realized that it would be quite difficult to combine relationships and a career, and unsolicited advice only fueled certain doubts.

"I would often pack my things, slam the door, and say: "I don't love you". And I would go to build a career. And then I realized that I was a deeply unhappy person. I have nothing to give on stage. And then I started to doubt that maybe those aunts were lying. Maybe they are unhappy themselves?" the star said.

Olia Tsybulska is grateful to her lover for accepting her character. She shared that their last quarrel was very loud and emotional, so the couple did not communicate for a long time. Then Serhii Hrysiuk wrote her a letter, saying that if the star's feelings remained as warm as ever, he was waiting for her in Paris. There was a ticket in the envelope, so Tsybulska flew to see her husband. The artist returned from this trip pregnant.
