Russian shipbuilding giant United Shipbuilding Corporation is running out of key engine parts. This delays and halts the production of tankers and ocean-going vessels that the country needs to transport oil and cargo.

This is stated in the material of The Wall Street Journal. This is due to the fact that the United States and Europe have imposed sanctions on the terrorist country of Russia and established export controls.

The restrictions led to the interruption of supplies of engine parts, propellers and fuel pumps. Russia's largest shipbuilding holding has orders for 59 cargo ships.

It is noted that in 2020 it managed to build 17 ships, in 2021 - 16, and in 2022 - only four. The key reason is that Russia has not found anything to replace the German-made propeller rudders.

United Shipbuilding Corporation is a Russian state-owned shipbuilding holding company. The company is headquartered in St Petersburg. Since Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the holding and all its subsidiaries have been subject to international sanctions imposed by the European Union, the United States, the United Kingdom and other countries.

As previously reported by OBOZREVATEL, the EU and Japan do not support the US proposal, according to which the G7 countries (the US, Japan, Germany, Britain, France, Italy, Canada) could impose a ban on almost all exports to Russia. The US government is frustrated with the current system, which contains a number of loopholes that allow a terrorist country to circumvent some sanctions.
