Miranda Kerr

Miranda Mae Kerr was born in 1983 in Sydney. She spent her childhood tending horses on the family farm in Gunneday Township. She wanted to be a nutritionist. However, her plans changed when she won the Australian Nation-Wide Model Search at age 14. The prize was a photo shoot for a local magazine. There Miranda appeared in a swimsuit, which caused a wave of talk about "child pornography" in the glossy magazines. However, these discussions quickly ceased.

Thanks to this photo shoot, Miranda's name was on the lips of many local figures of the fashion industry. So right after graduation she was hired by the modeling agency Chic Management Sydney Division. Miranda's first work, after which she became a household name, was an advertising campaign for Ober Jeans Paris. In Australia she also starred in advertisements for sports brands Billabong, Roxy, Tigerlily.

A move to New York soon followed. There she worked with brands of different levels - Roberto Cavalli, Anna Molinari, Blumarine, Neiman Marcus, John Richmond, Baby Phat, L.A.M.B., Rock and Republic. Then she began to appear in major magazines.

The real success came in 2006 when Miranda signed a contract with Victoria's Secret and became one of the "angels" of the brand - the first Australian. She soon signed another major contract - with Maybelline.

Over the past years Miranda has appeared on the covers and in photo shoots for Rolling Stone, Harper's Bazaar, Cosmopolitan, GQ, V Magazine, Vogue, Glamour and Numero. In 2010 she participated in Terry Richardson's shoot for the Pirelli calendar.

Forbes included her in the top 10 highest paid models in the world. Meanwhile, Miranda changed her priorities - in early 2011, she gave birth to a son, Flynn, by actor Orlando Bloom.
