Marta Olegovna Kostyuk is a Ukrainian tennis player.

Short Biography

Martha Kostiuk was born in Kiev, June 28, 2002.

Fascinated by tennis since childhood, her first trainer Martha Kostyuk was her own uncle.

She made her tennis debut in 2015, winning the iconic American children's tennis tournament Dunlop Orange Bowl International Tennis Championships (Orange Bowl) in Florida.

In 2016, Marta Kostyuk won Les Petits As, the highest level junior tennis tournament, which is essentially the unofficial world championship in tennis for athletes under 14 years old.

In November 2016, she participated for the first time in the ITF tennis tournament, but managed to reach only the 1/8 finals.

In 2017, Marta Kostyuk won the Australian Open Grand Slam tournament (junior category), and just four months later she won the adult competition for the first time, having got the first place of the ITF tennis tournament in Hungary.

That same year, 2017, she won two consecutive junior tennis tournaments, in China and in the United States.

In 2018, Marta Kostyuk took part in a full-fledged Australian Open, losing only to Ukrainian champion Elina Svitolina and thanks to this she rose in the WTA ranking to position #243, while in the ITF junior ranking at the time she was fifth place. Later Kostyuk won another ITF championship, this time in Australia.

Since February 2018, Marta Kostyuk plays for the Ukrainian national team in the Federation Cup.
