Andriy Danylko

Andriy Mikhailovich Danilko (Verka Serdyuchka) is a Ukrainian singer and showman.

Brief biography

Andrey Danilko was born in Poltava, October 2, 1973.

At an early age, Andrey Danilko was engaged in creative amateur performances, in particular, played in the school team KVN.

After school, Andrei Danilko finished Poltava secondary vocational school #30.

During his studies at the vocational school, Danilko, with two miniatures, won a creative review and went on tour to Stavropol.

The debut of Verka Serdyuchka took place in 1993 at the Poltava concert "Humorina". One year later Verka won at the same "Humorina" in Kharkov. In the same year Verka appeared for the first time on the Ukrainian TV screen in the program "Cheese".

In 1996 Verka Serdyuchka came out with her songs when the singer signed his first contract with the firm "Mamamusic".

In 1997 on the channel "1+1" there was a premiere of the project "SV-Show" where Verka Serdyuchka was a host .

Since 1999 Verka Serdyuchka actively toured through the cities of Ukraine and countries of the former Soviet Union. She received a huge number of various awards and prizes.

In 2007, Verka Serdiuchka performed as a representative of Ukraine at the Eurovision, where she took second place with the song "Dancing Lasha Tumbai". Serdyuchka's song was remembered for its first line "Zigel-tsigel, ayn-tsvay", as well as a loud scandal because of the similarity of the name with the phrase "Rasha gudbay" ("goodbye, Russia").

In 2018, Andrey Danilko, without the usual stage persona of Verka Serdyuchka, was a member of the jury at the national selection of Ukraine for Eurovision.
