Vice President Kamala Harris' campaign has raised a record $100 million since she entered the presidential race. The bulk of the amount, $81 million, was raised in the first 24 hours after she announced her intention to run for president.

According to Team Harris, this was the largest amount of money raised in 24 hours in the history of the presidency. This was reported by ABC News.

The money was raised by the Democratic National Committee and its joint fundraising committees.

According to the campaign, more than 888,000 donors contributed within 24 hours, and for 60% of them, it was their first contribution in the 2024 election cycle.

In addition, as noted in the campaign headquarters, about 58 thousand people registered as volunteers for the vice president's campaign, which is more than 100 times the average daily registration rate.

Kamala Harris officially launched her presidential campaign on Sunday, July 21, a few hours after Joe Biden announced his withdrawal from the race. He proposed the candidacy of Kamala Harris for the US presidency from the Democratic Party.

By Monday evening, Harris had secured the support of at least 27 state delegations, surpassing the number she would need to be nominated.

Among those who supported Harris were rising stars of the party who were considered possible successors to Joe Biden, including Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer, Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro, and California Governor Gavin Newsom.

As a reminder, US Vice President Kamala Harris has announced that she will run for the presidency as a Democratic candidate. The current American leader supported her candidacy.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, according to opinion polls, Donald Trump's advantage over Kamala Harris is 2 percent. This difference within the margin of error gives her supporters reason to hope.
