Video of how Ukrainian soldiers shot down a Shahed with a machine gun from a helicopter has appeared

Russia attacks Ukraine almost every day with Shahed-type kamikaze drones. And every time, Ukrainian soldiers use all possible means to destroy them and protect Ukrainian cities and villages.

In particular, Shaheds are already being destroyed by machine gun bursts launched from a helicopter. The video was published on the monitor channel.

"Shahed downed by army aviation," the video's commentary reads.

The published footage shows a Ukrainian machine gunner preparing to destroy a kamikaze drone launched by the occupiers. He does this from the open side door of the helicopter.

When the helicopter catches up with the Shahed, the machine gunner takes aim and opens fire. Just a few rounds later, the deadly drone is plummeting down.

Monitor did not specify when and where the strike took place.

Given the limited number of air defense systems and missiles for them, this method of air defense is quite reasonable. Especially since it makes it possible to destroy enemy drones over areas where they can potentially cause the least damage if they fall.
