AFU gained foothold on several bridgeheads on the left bank of Kherson region: details

Ukrainian soldiers have officially confirmed that the Ukrainian Defense Forces have conducted a series of successful actions on the left bank of the Dnipro River in the Kherson region for the first time. They gained a foothold on several bridgeheads.

During the fighting, the Russians lost about 3,500 killed and wounded, more than 300 pieces of military equipment and weapons, as well as several command posts and 29 ammunition depots. This was reported by the Marine Corps Command.

"As a result of pre-planned measures to repel the large-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation, the Ukrainian Defense Forces conducted a series of successful actions on the left bank of the Dnipro River in the Kherson direction. Thanks to the courage and professionalism of the Ukrainian Marines, they managed to gain a foothold on several bridgeheads in cooperation with other units of the Defense Forces," the statement said.

The defenders added that they inflicted heavy losses on the invaders in both manpower and equipment during the battle. Since the beginning of the operation to consolidate on the left bank of the Kherson region, the Russian occupation army has suffered losses:

• 1216 occupants killed and 2217 wounded,
• 24 tanks,
• 89 artillery systems and mortars,
• 135 units of various vehicles,
• 48 armored combat vehicles, including APCs and IFVs,
• 9 MLRS,
• 14 watercrafts,
• 15 units of special equipment,
• 4 command posts,
• 29 ammunition depots, both field and stationary.

"In addition, an electronic warfare unit of the Marines neutralized 135 FPV drones and 5 operational and tactical UAVs. Ukrainian marines are conducting fire attacks on the left bank of the Kherson region and are carrying out actions to destroy the enemy," the marines added.

The head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Andrii Yermak, responded to the news about the success of the Defense Forces in the occupied part of the Kherson region in Telegram in his usual manner.

Earlier, the Institute for the Study of War reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces may conduct larger-than-usual operations on the left bank of the Kherson region. According to analysts, this is causing panic among the occupiers.

ISW also believes that the Ukrainian Armed Forces' operations on the left bank of the Kherson region have become a challenge for Russian troops.
