Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a regular meeting in the Headquarters of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief on Saturday, September 9. During the meeting, the implementation of a plan to protect the energy sector and critical infrastructure from possible Russian air attacks was discussed.
This was announced by the leader of the state on his Telegram channel. Measures to prepare for winter were also discussed.
In addition, the meeting raised the issue of the protection of ports of the Odesa region and infrastructure related to the transportation of grain.
"Implementation of the plan for the protection of energy and critical infrastructure from Russian strikes from the sky. Protection of Odesa region ports and infrastructure of the 'grain corridor'. Protection of frontline territories. Preparation for winter", he said.
"Prime Minister, the Ministry of Energy, Ukrenergo, Ukrhydroenergo, NAK Naftiogaz and the General Staff presented the reports. All of the orders have been distributed. The work continues," the President said.
The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky introduced a new head of the Ministry of Defense Rustem Umerov to the Staff of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief on Friday, September 8. At the same time, the head of state removed the former head of the Defense Ministry, Oleksiy Reznikov, from the regular meetings in the Headquarters.
Earlier, Volodymyr Zelensky said that Putin may use nuclear terrorism as a tool of diplomatic pressure on the West again. This is one of the possible steps in his strategy.
