The Ukrainian Defense Forces have succeeded in the area of Robotyne in the Zaporizhzhya region. Our defenders continue the offensive on the Melitopol direction of the front.

This was reported by the representative of the General Staff of the AFU Andriy Kovalev, noted in the Military Media Center. According to him, the Ukrainian troops are consolidating on the achieved borders.

In addition, the fighters are hitting enemy targets with artillery and implementing counter-battery countermeasures.

As a reminder, the ISW also confirmed that on August 20-21, the Defense Forces achieved tactically important successes near the village of Robotine and eastward in the west of Zaporizhzhya region. They continue counter-offensive operations on the administrative border of Donetsk and Zaporizhzhya regions, as well as in eastern Ukraine.

The day before, Ukraine's Deputy Defense Minister Anna Malyar said that the defenders had succeeded in the direction southeast of Robotyne and south of Mala Tokmachka, while Russian troops unsuccessfully counterattacked east of the first settlement. Both it and Russian sources said the fighting in Robotyne was continuing.
