"Secure a position or die": AFU revealed Russian army's tactics in Avdiivka direction
Russian troops continue to suffer heavy losses in the Avdiivka direction. However, the enemy's offensive activity is not decreasing there.
While some invaders are being sent to attack the positions of Ukrainian soldiers as cannon fodder, others are being redeployed to the area to replenish the exhausted units of the Russian Armed Forces. This was stated by the spokesman of the Tavria Defense Forces Oleksandr Shtupun during a TV marathon.
According to him, over the past 24 hours, Russians launched 10 air strikes and four missile attacks in the Avdiivka sector. They also made over 800 artillery attacks. 51 attacks were recorded.
Russian command continues to throw manpower into suicidal assaults.
"They are suffering significant losses, but continue to replenish their exhausted units. Russian generals are using the tactic of 'secure a position or die'. The number of deserters is growing and the occupation command is practicing barrier detachments and even executions of their subordinates," Shtupun emphasized.
Ukrainian troops eliminated 531 occupants and 36 pieces of equipment in the Avdiivka area yesterday.
"The captured Russians say they are being deceived, saying there is no one at our positions. Infantry assaults in Avdiivka are underway. The actions of the Russian Federation can now be called a reconnaissance battle and we expect the intensification of attacks," the Armed Forces spokesman said.
Earlier, the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported on the losses of Storm-Z in the Tavria direction. In some units of this formation, which includes Russian prisoners, only 10-15% of the original composition remained.
Meanwhile, desertion is rampant among the occupiers. The invaders are willing to flee the battlefield in the Donetsk region in particular.
