Icoma has shown an electric moped, the Tatamel Bike, which can be transformed into a suitcase for transportation. The vehicle is a very cheap alternative to cars.

The unusual novelty is reported on the website of the Japanese startup. The Icoma Tatamel Bike is powered by a small motor, which is enough to accelerate to 40 km/h.

The compact dimensions when folded theoretically allow you to carry the Icoma Tatamel Bike electric moped with you like a suitcase. However, it weighs 63 kg. This is not so little.

On the other hand, its compactness allows you to load the electric bike into the trunk of a car and unload it from there. Moreover, the Tatamel Bike cannot be used as the main vehicle. This is prevented not only by the design but also by a small range of 30 km. Over time, they promise to add a 60 km modification. The price of the Icoma Tatamel Bike is $3,170.

The format of the vehicle is unusual, but not unique. The Honda Motocompacto is mentioned as a competitor, which, however, is much cheaper – only $995. The power reserve is 19 km, and the top speed is 24 km/h.
