On air defense and the urgency of a security agreement: Zelenskyy held talks with Tusk
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a phone conversation with Prime Minister of Poland Donald Tusk. The conversation focused, in particular, on the provision of air defense systems to Ukraine and the urgency of the security agreement.
The head of state reported this on Telegram. In addition, the President of Ukraine told Donald Tusk about his trip to Kharkiv and the situation on the ground. In particular, about Ukraine's urgent need for air defense to protect Kharkiv and other regions.
According to Volodymyr Zelenskyy, one of Russia's goals now is the gas infrastructure in western Ukraine.
"Russia's success there will jeopardize Europe's energy security. We must jointly find a way to counteract this," the President noted.
He said that the teams were also instructed to immediately start working on the text of a bilateral security agreement.
"It should be as ambitious as possible between the historical partners," the president summarized the important negotiations.
