Occupants in Skadovsk, Kherson region, began to take away housing from those who do not have Russian passports

Occupants nationalize property of Ukrainians in Skadovsk

Since the first days of the invasion, the territories temporarily occupied by Russia have been subject to the forced passportization of Ukrainians. In Skadovsk, Kherson region, the Russians have increased pressure on the population and started the process of nationalizing property – now, to keep your home, you need to get a Russian passport.

The occupiers have already published a list of residential premises that have been registered. This was announced by the mayor of Skadovsk, Oleksandr Yakovlev, in a comment to the media.

According to him, if the owners do not appear within 30 days, the property will be nationalized. The invaders have already approved the nationalization procedure.

"It says that the owner must appear within 30 days, and have a Russian passport and title documents to register the property. Therefore, it is clear that even for those Ukrainians who left at the beginning of the invasion or afterward and did not receive a Russian passport, it is impossible to fulfill the conditions," said Oleksandr Yakovlev.

Property rights can be obtained only in person at the relevant occupation department in Genichesk and only with a Russian passport. Thus, those who have left the occupied territory but want to keep their homes must not only return to the occupied zone but also have time to obtain Russian documents within 30 days.

"I have an apartment there. Someone has been living in it since the first week. Now this apartment has appeared on those lists for nationalization. They moved people in from the first day. Well, some from the first, some later, but most people have lost control of their property. And now they are saying that they are nationalizing the property under Russian law," said the mayor of Skadovsk.

Earlier it was reported that in the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine, Russia continues to forcibly passportize residents, forcing them to acquire the citizenship of the aggressor country. Various methods are being used, and recently the occupiers have become even more disgusting. Thus, it is impossible to make any real estate transactions without a passport of the aggressor country.
