Ministry of Defense introduces new quality standards for military uniforms: what will change

Ukraine has introduced new requirements for quality control of military uniforms worn by members of the Defense Forces. In particular, the technical inspection and testing of military clothing samples will be carried out using modern methods that meet international standards.

This was announced on Thursday, October 24, by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. The ministry noted that the new standard for uniform quality control was introduced at the request of the military.

It was developed by the Central Quality Control Department of the Ministry of Defense and came into force this month.

"The document was developed at the request of the military, because during the war, the requirements for the quality of clothing have increased significantly, and technological development in the production of materials and protective equipment has accelerated significantly. The Ministry of Defense is constantly working to improve the quality control of all goods for our military," the Defense Ministry press service emphasized.

According to the Defense Ministry, the new modern standard will help suppliers better understand their rights and responsibilities.

It sets out exactly how quality control is carried out at all stages of supply: incoming inspection of raw materials and components, checking control samples of goods, and quality acceptance control of goods.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, the Ministry of Defense said that the Army+ application is already used by 340 thousand military personnel, and about 10 thousand electronic reports have already been submitted. In addition, the ministry expressed its readiness to digitize the work of the military registration and enlistment office.
