General Staff: The Ukrainian Armed Forces have succeeded in an offensive near Klishchiivka, the enemy is using reserves

The Ukrainian Armed Forces achieved success near Klishchiivka

As a result of offensive operations in the Bakhmut direction, the Defense Forces are succeeding in the Klishchiivka area. From the south and north of Bakhmut, the defenders are squeezing out the Russian invaders, knocking them out of their previously captured positions and inflicting significant casualties.

To stop the advance of the Ukrainian military, the enemy is using reserves. A representative of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Andriy Kovalyov told this.

According to him, the Ukrainian Defense Forces achieved success as a result of offensive operations near Klishchiivka in the Bakhmut direction. Kovalyov added that the defenders continue to press the enemy to the south and north of Bakhmut, knocking the Russians out of their positions.

"They have partial success in the area of Klishchiivka, they are consolidating on the achieved lines," the representative of the AFU General Staff noted.

In order to hold back the advance of Ukrainian soldiers, the Russian command is using reserves. Heavy battles are taking place, in which the Russians are suffering heavy losses.

At the same time, the Russians are trying to advance in the Lyman, Avdiivka and Marinka directions, and the Defense Forces are holding back the Russian offensive.

As a reminder, on the morning of July 5, the General Staff updated data on Russian losses in the war against Ukraine. On the previous day, the Defense Forces eliminated 670 Russian occupants and dozens of enemy vehicles.

The Russian Federation's irretrievable losses in manpower during the full-scale aggression against Ukraine reached 231,700 occupants.
