Enemy seized "Khimik" neighborhood and Avdiivka Coke Plant: DeepState shows the situation on the map
Russian occupation forces seized the "Khimik" neighborhood and a coke plant in Avdiivka. In addition, the enemy forces continue their offensive east of Terny.
This was reported on the DeepState Telegram channel and shown on the map. Earlier, enemy troops had already captured the Avdiivka railway hospital, a city park, and were advancing on the territory of the Avdiivka Metal Structures Plant in the areas of Lastochkino and Nevelske.
"The enemy seized my neighborhood "Khimik" and Avdiivka Coke Plant. The enemy advanced east of Terny. We have geolocated the f***ers at the Avdiivka Coke Plant and in the Avdiivka City Council," the statement reads.
As OBOZ.UA previously reported, on the night of February 17, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi announced the withdrawal of Ukrainian forces from Avdiivka. He explained the decision as the desire to prevent encirclement and save the lives of soldiers.
It was also reported that the occupation of Avdiivka cost Russian troops incredible losses. According to some Z-publics, they "exceeded" the losses of the occupiers in the battles for Bakhmut, where the most capable force of the Russian Federation, the Wagner PMC, was practically worn out.
As a reminder, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy called the withdrawal of the Defense Forces from Avdiivka in Donetsk region a "professional decision" whose key goal is to save the lives of Ukrainian soldiers, he emphasized, "Ukraine can win the war against the aggressor, but this victory depends not only on the courage of the defenders of our country but also on the willingness of the West to help achieve it."
