The footballer wanted to score dashingly

The Brazilian legionnaire of Zenit St. Petersburg Claudinho failed to convert a penalty in the match of the 16th round of the Russian Premier League against Sochi. The 26-year-old native of São Paulo tried to hit the center of the goal in a dandy way, fooling the goalkeeper. The goalkeeper didn't buy the Brazilian's trick, remaining standing still.

In the 53rd minute, the ball in the penalty area hit the hand of Sochi midfielder Nikita Burmistrov. Claudinho took the penalty, but as a result, he only became a laughingstock in the net. The footballer sent the ball straight into the hands of Sochi goalkeeper Nikita Goyle.

It should be reminded that this kick is called a panenka kick in football, in honor of Antonin Panenko. The Czech midfielder became a world celebrity thanks to his eleven-meter shot in the post-match penalty shootout in the final match of the 1976 European Championships against Germany.

It is worth noting that the most famous Panenka-style penalty kicker in Ukraine is Artem Milevsky. The former Dynamo player scored in this way in the 1/8 finals of the 2006 World Cup against Switzerland.
