Davison praised Usyk and Fury's fight

Former two-time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua (28-3, 25 KOs) expressed confidence that he will fight Tyson Fury (34-0-1, 24 KOs) after the Gypsy King's fight with Oleksandr Usyk (21-0, 14 KOs). At the same time, the Watford native intends to return the belts, hinting at the victory of his compatriot.

This opinion was expressed by Joshua in an interview with The Jonathan Ross Show, The Independent reports. According to Joshua, he wants to return to the ring in September, but the opponent has not yet been decided. At the same time, there is a possibility that Anthony will fight against Croatian Filip Hrgovic (17-0, 14 KOs) for the International Boxing Federation (IBF) title.

"Everyone says we need to be patient because we have a fight between Usyk and Fury for all the belts in the division. After they resolve their issues, I hope I can break in and get the opportunity to fight for the championship. Fury is one of my rivals. He's the man I want to have a rivalry with someday. And when that fight happens, I will use everything he said about me as fuel," Joshua said.

It should be noted that the fight between Usyk and Fury is scheduled for May 18. At the same time, the contract for the fight stipulates a mandatory rematch, for refusal of which the boxers will face a multi-million dollar fine. Joshua's promoter Eddie Hearn expressed his intention to disrupt the second confrontation between the Ukrainian and the Briton. Tyson's representative, the legendary Bob Arum, also hinted at this.

Earlier, two moles were found in Fury's team, and it also became known that the former Russian champion would return to the ring at a boxing event in Saudi Arabia. Also, British bookmakers changed their quotes for the fight and stopped considering their compatriot a favorite.

In turn, former world middleweight champion Carl Froch questioned the holding of the Usyk-Fury fight.

As OBOZ.UA previously reported, promoter Oleksandr Krasiuk spoke about the problem with holding the fight between Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury on May 18.
