Universiade champion went to kill Ukrainians
Yevgeniy Prokopchuk, the winner of the 2019 World Summer Universiade in Judo, is taking part in the war against Ukraine. The photos of the 29-year-old native of Irkutsk posing in full ammunition with an assault rifle were posted on his account on the social network X (formerly Twitter) by the famous Ukrainian skeleton athlete Vladyslav Heraskevych.
"Another 'neutral' athlete, Yevgeniy Prokopchuk, a world judo championship winner who joined the Russian terrorist army. Instead of Olympic values, Russian athletes bring genocide, murder and death. Russian athletes should be banned from participating in international sports," Heraskevych wrote.
As reported by OBOZ.UA, in October, Russian short track coach Ivan Denisov returned from Turkey to kill Ukrainians and was eliminated by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The native of the Republic of Mari El ended his senseless life at the age of 28.
On July 8, 31-year-old judge Daniil Shemetov from Ulyanovsk was killed in the war in Ukraine.
On June 13, it became known that five-time world powerlifting champion Maksym Barkhatov, who also won the European Championship twice, ended his life in a ditch near Bakhmut.

Earlier, the Ukrainian Armed Forces utilized a defender of the Rubin football club from Bryansk region. The 36-year-old athlete was called up for mobilization, but did not stay at the front for long.
