Famous Ukrainian tennis player Liudmyla Kichenok took part in a traditional photo shoot before the WTA 2024 Finals, which will be held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from November 2 to 9. The world number three in doubles will play alongside Latvian Jelena Ostapenko.
Before the start of the competition, the 32-year-old from Dnipro posted photos from the gala event on her Instagram, garnering hundreds of enthusiastic responses from her fans.
Fans of the Ukrainian No. 1 doubles player admire her style and choice of dress. Marta Kostiuk and the Aleksiieva sisters also sent fiery emojis to Kichenok.
Kichenok and Ostapenko will play in the Green Group against Hsieh Su-wei (Taiwan) and Belgian Elise Mertens, Americans Nicole Melichar-Martinez and Ellen Perez from Australia, and Czech Katerina Siniakova and Taylor Townsend (USA).
It is with the latter that the Ukrainian-Latvian duo, seeded number one, will play the opening match of the tournament. It starts on November 2 at 19:00 Kyiv time.
As we reported on September 9, Kichenok and Ostapenko won the US Open 2024 in doubles, beating rivals from France and China in the final match.
