Ukrainian takes 3rd place at the Show Jumping Grand Prix
This weekend is full of good news from Ukrainian riders. Oleksandr Prodan, a Ukrainian rider on the raven stallion Moneymaker, took 3rd place in the Lummen Belgium Grand Prix Show Jumping in a tough competition among 60 riders from the world's leading countries.
"The plan was as follows: Moneymaker had to qualify for the 145 and the Grand Prix. In the qualification, he made one fault, which is quite good. In order to achieve a good result, I had to be positive from the very beginning, and I did the right warm-up for Moneymaker. There was no excitement - just a clear mind and adherence to the plan, which was 90% complete. Because I have a result - 3rd place. In general, the Masters has become more stable, we have begun to understand each other better, so I am pleased with the result," Oleksandr commented on his success.
In addition, on 20 May in Budapest, Alisa Danilova took 3rd place in the World Cup stage with a score of 0/0 penalty points. The competition is a qualifier for the Olympic Games in Paris and the European Championships in Milan this year.
Earlier in Italy, the Longines EEF SERIES Nations Cup Show Jumping series started on April 27. The Ukrainian team consisting of Alisa Danilova, Mykola Pylypeiko, Anastasia Bondarieva and Oleksandr Prodan took part in the competition. With the result of 16 penalty points, our team took 8th place and ranked 3rd in the overall classification of the regional group South.
