Our compatriots did not congratulate their rivals, who are constantly training in Russia

Ukrainians Violetta Serova and Ivan Khobta did not congratulate the winners of the figure skating Grand Prix in Budapest, Anastasia Metiolkina and Luka Berulava, who compete under the Georgian flag. Metiolkina, who is a native of Vladimir, has been competing for Georgia since 2020, while Berulava, a Muscovite, has been competing since 2019. The pair train in Russia under Pavel Slyusarenko.

During the award ceremony, the Russian Georgians approached the bronze medalists Martina Ariano-Kent and Charly Laliberte-Laurent, and then our compatriots.

Only a Canadian couple congratulated the winners. Ukrainians completely ignored the Russian fans, refusing to shake hands and hug them.

Serova and Khobta won silver in the pairs competition, scoring a total of 153.77 points for their short and free skate programs. This was only 0.18 points more than the third-place finishers from Canada.

1. Anastasia Metiolkina - Luka Berulava (Georgia) - 190.45 points.

2. Violetta Serova - Ivan Khobta (Ukraine) - 153.77.

3. Martina Ariano-Kent - Charly Laliberte-Laurent (Canada) - 153.59.
