Russian Olympic champion, who called for London bombing, slams Putin for not being dictatorial enough in Russia
President of the Russian Ski Racing Federation (RRF) Elena Vyalbe complained that dictator Vladimir Putin did not order athletes to refuse to compete in international tournaments without the flag and anthem. The three-time Olympic champion blamed the Kremlin leader for not defining a unified policy on the reaction to the suspension of representatives of the aggressor country and for not silencing the athletes.
This statement was made by Vyalbe on the air of the propaganda show "Empathy Manuchi," informs the portal Championship.com. According to the former athlete, the participation of Russian athletes in competitions in a neutral status is a real betrayal of "the guys who are now fighting for our existence as a country."
"Since we don't have such a unified policy, the president says that the athlete should decide for himself whether to go or not. I disagree with this, by the way. This is probably the only thing I disagree with our Vladimir Vladimirovich. I believe that there should be a party policy. Either we sell out and leave, betray our country, betray the guys who are now fighting for our lives in general and maybe even for our existence as a country. Or we thank them together with them. Not in a trench, of course, but we are in solidarity with the fact that our flag is not just a flag and a tricolor cloth, but a real flag for which everyone fights in their own way," said Vyalbe.
Earlier, the head of the Russian Ski Racing Federation called for "dropping a serious bomb on London," claiming that this would help Russian athletes return to international tournaments.
As OBOZ.UA reported earlier, Russian skier Veronika Stepanova, whose intelligence was compared to a washing machine, was outraged by the trip of Russian athletes to the 2024 Olympics.
