Ukraine's first-ranked player Alexei Krutykh did not welcome representative of the Russian Federation Alexander Shevchenko in a qualifier at the ATP 1000 series primetime tournament in Rome. The duel ended in a 4-6, 2-6 defeat for the 23-year-old from Kyiv.
After the last draw, Krutykh came up to the judge and shook his hand. Then the Ukrainian turned around and went to his things, ignoring his opponent.
It should be noted that Alexey became the first tennis player from our country in 14 months to participate in the qualifying for the Masters.

Afterwards, Duma deputy Svetlana Zhurova said that Kostyuk did not shake hands with the Russian woman allegedly because Ukrainian athletes are hostages of the state.
