Our compatriot scored in the match of the 1st round of La Liga

Ukrainian forward of Girona Artem Dovbyk made history in the history of La Liga by scoring a goal in the 1st round of the Spanish football championship. The 26-year-old footballer became the first Ukrainian in the tournament to score a goal after a successful assist from another Ukrainian.

Dovbyk was assisted by Viktor Tsygankov.

It took Dovbyk 8 minutes and 29 seconds to set this record. Our compatriot came on as a substitute in the second half and helped Girona avoid defeat in the match against Real Sociedad. The match ended with a 1-1 scoreline, and Artem was named the match's best player.
