"Two-time champion of Ukraine ran away to Moscow". Russia invented news about the "betrayal" of our athlete

Anastasia Shepilenko, a two-time Ukrainian junior alpine skiing champion and member of the Ukrainian Olympic team, has become the subject of another Russian propaganda hoax. Various Russian news sites almost simultaneously posted the news of the "betrayal" of the famous 23-year-old native of Lviv.

As proof, they posted a video from Red Square showing a girl rejoicing at her move to Moscow.

"Did I tell you that I would come to Russia, that I would walk on Red Square in Moscow? And now burn your fucking asses," the creature says in the video.

The headlines immediately spread across Russian news outlets.

The champion herself, who was at the training camp at the time and was preparing for the season, was shocked by what happened.

The target audience of the Russian media quite calmly "swallowed" all the material prepared by the "journalists".

It should be noted that the girl in the video was a blogger named Katrin, who had previously fled Ukraine and recorded a video of herself crossing the border with Russia.
