The new season of the Ukrainian Basketball Championship has started: results of the Favbet Super League on October 3

Basketball club "Zaporizhzhia" won a convincing victory in the opening game of the new Ukrainian league season. Coached by Valeriy Plekhanov, the team defeated Favbet Super League newcomer Kryvbas 83-61 in Kyiv.

The nominal hosts of the game immediately outlined the status of its favorite. Already in the first quarter, the Cossacks quickly gained a double-digit lead, imposing fast and efficient basketball on the opponent. In fact, from the first minutes of the match, the fans had no doubt about the final result.

Plekhanov's team continued to keep the opponent at bay, and after a long break made a new breakthrough, reaching +30 on the scoreboard by the middle of the third period.

"Kryvbas", led by their coach Serhii Korablyov, tried to resist the more experienced opponent. As a result, the nominal guests managed to win the final quarter, but this did not affect the overall result.

We'd like to point out Zaporizhzhia's terrific long-range shooting. The team's basketball players hit 12 of 26 shots from beyond the arc, which largely allowed them to celebrate their success.
