Kozhevnikov lashes out at Gashek and Tardif

Two-time Olympic champion Alexander Kozhevnikov demanded that the Russian authorities put legendary goaltender Dominik Hasek and International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) President Luc Tardif on the wanted list. The accomplice of Vladimir Putin's dictatorial regime was outraged by the pro-Ukrainian position of the Czech expatriate and French functionary.

Kozhevnikov said this in an interview with Russia-Hockey.ru. The winner of the Sarajevo '84 and Calgary '88 Games called Hasek's statements in support of Ukraine and the IIHF's sanctions against the Russian national team "Russophobic insults" that could get Europeans "in trouble."

"We have to pursue a more active policy. Recently, Russia has put the most notorious Russophobes on the wanted list, for example, the leading lady from Estonia (Prime Minister Kaja Kallas – ed.), and some other Baltic eccentrics. As a result, and thirdly, after the mocking tales about security, it's time to put the Tardif on the wanted list. Or another "storyteller" – Gashek. These people should realize that they do not throw Russophobic insults for nothing – and they may soon be in trouble," Kozhevnikov said.

It is worth noting that the Czech ex-goalkeeper has been a vocal supporter of Ukraine. After a trip to Kyiv and Kharkiv last summer, he recorded a video message to Ukrainians, wishing them to "drive away the Russian sh*t." In addition, Olympic champion Vyacheslav Fetisov threw a real tantrum over the Czech's remarks.

In addition, Dominic said that Russians have no right to compete in international tournaments "until they leave Ukraine and put Putin on trial." He also demanded that Russia pay reparations to our country.
