Russian Ministry of Sports introduces mouse clicks standard for cyber athletes

The Russian Ministry of Sports has amended the standards for training cyber athletes. Now, to officially obtain the status of a professional in Russia, one will have to pass a left-click mouse test. The standard for men is 205 clicks in 30 seconds, while for women is it 195, Mash reports.

Esports was recognized as a discipline in Russia in 2022. Federal standards for the training of gamers appeared at the same time.

The main requirements for a player are a medical certificate of admission to the competition and a clean doping test. It will also be necessary to pass the 30- and 1500-meter runs, squats, and push-ups.

In addition, the document includes a test of the visual-motor response to light signals. The order has been sent for legal review.
