Armenian Pyunik president dissatisfied with sanctions against Russia

Pyunik president Artur Soghomonyan called on the European Football Union (UEFA) not to violate the "principle of justice" in football. Soghomonyan demands that matches be moved from countries that do not grant visas to Russians.

According to Championat, the day before, the Lithuanian consulate in Armenia refused to issue Schengen visas to Russian citizens - midfielder Mykhailo Kovalenko and assistant head coach Roman Monarev. They missed the Conference League qualifying match with Narva Trans in Estonia.

"In my opinion, the most important principle of sport - the fairness of the competition - is being violated here. Three people could not go to the return match in Estonia. It turns out that two people will not be able to go to Sweden - a player of the main squad and the first assistant coach. It's a serious problem for us," Championat quoted the president of the Armenian vice-champion as saying.

It should be noted that Pyunik defeated Narva 5-0 on the aggregate of the two matches.
