Russian Federation hysterically accuses the US of hitting the "most Russian" sports

Figure skater Valiyeva caught doping

The so-called Russian Foreign Intelligence Service accused the United States of preparing materials to discredit Russian athletes and accuse them of doping violations. At the same time, the aggressor country emphasized that it expects to strike "at the 'most Russian' disciplines - rhythmic gymnastics, synchronized swimming and figure skating."

This is stated on the official website of the RFIS. The Russians issued a delusion that the "Westerners," as the text of the statement reads, are allegedly behaving in an impudent and petty manner - "their unsportsmanlike behavior is causing more and more rejection from the global majority." At the same time, the Russian Federation forgot to mention that it was Russia that created the state doping system that was used during the Sochi Games.

"The United States is planning the next stage of its long-standing and unsuccessful campaign to "isolate" Russia from the global sports movement. This time, they are preparing a series of "high-profile investigative publications" about alleged doping abuses in Russian top-level sports. The focus is on disciplines in which our country is a globally recognized leader. As conceived by the Americans, the defamatory materials will have to convince fans around the world that the power and beauty of Russian "artists", synchronized skaters and figure skaters are only the result of the use of some miracle drugs, deception, illusion," the NSDI said.

As a reminder, after the 2014 Sochi Games, the state doping system in Russia, which was controlled by the FSB, was exposed. As a result of the investigation, Russia was stripped of 11 medals.

As OBOZ.UA previously reported, Russian Sports Minister Mikhail Degtyarev said that he was furious about the suspension of Russian athletes, saying "either for doping or for participating in the special military operation."
