Rebrov described what the Middle East actually thinks of the war in Ukraine in one word
The head coach of the Ukrainian national soccer team Serhiy Rebrov, who coached the Arab soccer club Al-Ain for several years, has admitted that few people in the Middle East are worried about a full-scale Russian invasion of our country. According to him, residents of Arab countries are not interested in the war in Ukraine.
"They are not interested in it at all. But I remember that everyone in my team supported Ukraine. If you remember, when we won the UAE championship, everyone took pictures with the Ukrainian flag. The whole team was around and helped us," Rebrov told the Bombardyr YouTube channel.
The Ukrainian specialist asked his players what they thought about the war several times.
"They said they heard about the war and support us, but the Emirates is a very neutral country and it is very difficult to change anything there. They didn't even give permission to carry the flag into the stadium there," the coach concluded.
As reported by OBOZREVATEL, Rebrov took charge of Al Ain from the city of the same name in the United Arab Emirates in August 2021. He headed the club for three seasons, playing 71 matches (44 wins/10 losses).
Serhiy Rebrov and Al Ain won the UAE championship in 2022, as well as the UAE Cup.
Rebrov became the head coach of the Ukrainian national soccer team on June 7, 2023.
