"Only an idiot can't see it". Putin's favorite entertainer spilled the beans about the real situation in Russia after the sanctions in sports
Well-known Russian journalist Dmitry Guberniev believes that the suspension of the Russian Federation from participating in foreign competitions has hit Russian sports hard. According to the odious commentator, skiers and biathletes who organized races in the country have more or less survived the ban.
"It's still hard for the rest of us. We organize competitions as best we can. In biathlon and skiing, there are no problems in terms of showcasing, storytelling, financial attractiveness, sponsorship and television. Other winter sports have a lot of problems. But, of course, this does not mean that the Russian seasons have gone as well as they did during the international competitions. How badly did the suspension hit Russian sports in general? Very hard. Only an idiot could not understand this," Guberniev said gloomily in an interview with Metaratings.
The journalist also criticized the actions of the head of the National Olympic Committee.
"The ridiculous position of Stanislav Pozdnyakov is outrageous and upsetting. He has turned from a great champion into a bureaucrat who for some reason has stopped loving athletes," said the Match TV host.
The commentator's revelations surprised Russian fans.
"And Guberniev broke through today, suddenly he started to push the right thoughts - his conscience finally got the better of him," users write.
As OBOZREVATEL reported, earlier Guberniev became the victim of offensive comments on the Internet after he held a rally on Manezhnaya Square in Moscow in support of Vladimir Putin.
The media called the journalist "Putin's chief entertainer," recalling that he hosted all mass events in support of the Russian president.
In March, Guberniev held a concert rally in Moscow called "For a world without Nazism!". State employees were forced to attend the show.
