Ukraine's midfielders Mykhailo Mudryk and Mykola Shaparenko got into a dispute over their jerseys during the break between the Nations League matches against Albania and the Czech Republic. The Chelsea player demanded that the number 10 worn by the Dynamo player be given to him, which provoked a conflict.

Journalist Ihor Tsyhanyk published this information in his author's program on his YouTube channel. According to the commentator, when Shaparenko was injured, the number 10 was given to Mudryk, but then it was returned to the Dynamo Kyiv midfielder, as he recovered from the injury and went back on the field.

"At one time, Shaparenko was injured and could not participate in the qualifying matches for Euro 2024, Mudryk came and was given the number 10. Shaparenko played under a different number even at Euro 2024, because he believed that it was fair that a player who started the qualifying stage should play under this number at the European Championship. The European Championship ended, Shaparenko came and got his number 10 back. Mudryk missed the first game against Albania and during the break between the two matches, Mudryk's entourage began calling the national team headquarters to return the number 10, otherwise it might not be very good, let's just say. Mudryk himself also insisted that it would be better for him to play at number 10," said Vatsko.

He added that captain Andriy Yarmolenko intervened in the situation. "He said that Shaparenko would have the number 10. Because Shaparenko had played under the number 10 before, he scored against France under the number 10, he is older, he deserved this number, and he played in the first match under this number 10. As a result, Mudryk came out at No. 20, but he was already dissatisfied," the journalist summarized.
