MMA champion from the Russian Federation said that "western regions" are trying to "reformat" uneducated Ukrainians

Divnich justified Russia

Maksim Divnich, a mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter, considers Ukrainians to be illiterate people to whom "the Western regions have imposed their ideology". A native of Stakhanov, Luhansk Oblast, and now a resident of St. Petersburg, excused Russia for starting the war, calling the aggressor country a peacemaker.

Divnich said this in an interview with the YouTube channel "RB-Sport. Combat Sports." The former champion of M-1 lightweight promotion called the Ukrainians the Russian people, and the 2014 Revolution of Dignity as an illegal coup d'etat, during which "just with a gun they overthrew that Yanukovich there.

"The war started there in 2014 against its own people, against those people who were against the Maidan, against the essentially armed seizure of power. The Ukrainians, I believe, are also Russians. There is an attempt here to reformat Ukrainians and create an anti-Russia. They say Russia started the war... I don't agree with that. Russia is ending what started in 2014. It will end when they understand what is happening on a global scale. The western regions there have imposed their ideology on the rest of Ukraine. They need to be educated and look at the situation from different angles," Divnich said.

Earlier, Russian Bellator bantamweight champion Vadim Nemkov complained about the Ukrainian counterattack and shelling of Shebekino.

As reported by OBOZREVATEL, Russian MMA fighter Vladimir Mineyev became a laughing stock on the network after he said he was very much looking forward to returning to the war in Ukraine.
